about

A Contemporary Sonic Odyssey
Serendipity, that elusive dance with fate, subtly intertwines through the five tracks of the EP “Serendipity” by the group Didgital. Evolving with disconcerting mastery, Didgital merges the mesmerizing sounds of the didgeridoo with modern elements and eclectic influences, weaving a captivating musical web that transports the listener on a sonic journey filled with unexpected discoveries.
“Blades,” an invitation to a celebration where Hephaestus himself seems to be a guest, immerses us in a deep and bewitching dub where the rhythms of the ravedrum, xylophone, and qraqebs resonate and intertwine with striking harmony.
“Terra Nullius,” a poignant echo to the ancestral Australian land dispossessed, leads us into a whirlwind of sonic roughness, where the repetitive vibrations of the didgeridoo evoke the eternal cycle of rebirth, while the modernity of the synthesizer stealthily creeps in, gradually replacing the primitive sounds in a subtle metaphor of evolution.
“Pyradidga,” an original commission by director Guillaume Broust for the film “Chronoception” by Picture Organic Clothing, transports us to the remote mountains of Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz sounds, enchanting chants, and the tribal spirit of the djembes plunge us into the heart of this epic adventure, eloquently recalling the raw energy of descending the snow-capped peaks of Pyramida.
“Abhüka” (desert in Sanskrit), takes us from the snows to the scorching sands, through hypnotic soundscapes where the repetitive jew's harps and bansuri flutes clash with captivating intensity, culminating in a sonic whirlwind where explosion and implosion blend into the final crash.
Finally, “Ubass” concludes this EP with an overflowing exuberance, where the filtered notes of the synthesizer intertwine with a sharp bass to create a symphony of energy and generosity that encapsulates the essence of Didgital.
“Serendipity” is much more than just a collection of tracks; it is a bold exploration of the mystique of the didgeridoo and the art of musical creation. Each track is a potential hit, an intoxicating celebration of the mystery of vibration, offering the listener the pleasure of receiving an unforgettable sonic experience.
